What do you do when you need life-saving medical treatment but don’t have insurance or even enough money for rent or food? Unfortunately, this was the dilemma Corey found himself in about 10 years ago when he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Corey was already struggling with diabetes, having enough food to eat, and paying his rent, and on top of all of those challenges, he lost his health insurance.

Through our Rapid Re-Housing program, we recently helped a single dad with three children under the age of 10 find housing for the family.

Shelves are stocked with staples, refrigerators are filled with dairy products and meat, bins are full of fresh fruits and vegetables, and three days each week, staff and volunteers are ready to welcome shoppers at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Food Pantry. Clients can visit the food pantry two times per month.

Wisdom Wormenor, father of two teenagers, owns a chauffeur company that caters to clients who travel from around the world to Colorado for business. When COVID-19 hit, Wisdom’s business experienced a dramatic decrease in clients, and he was worried about how he would pay his rent. See how JFS helped him stay in his home.
